Any provider who has done compressions on a cardiac arrest patient for an extended period of time knows how grueling it can be. Jamie Davis, the Podmedic looks at the new battery operated LUCAS 2 from Physio-Control and asks can this little machine save a paramedic’s back? Watch the video and decide for yourself!
At EMS Expo, we had the opportunity to interview one of the engineers from Physio-Control who devises the tests that simulate real EMS field punishment. EMTs and paramedics can be a bit hard on their equipment and you need to have a rugged cardiac monitor to stand up to weather, falls, and other abuses in the field. Check out the video.
I laid out a five step plan for successful and fulfilling EMS Expo attendance for EMTs and Paramedics in a series of two articles yesterday. You can check them out starting with the first EMS Expo plan article, here.
Today, as I pack up to leave, I am providing a brief video review here. Make sure you add me to your “people to catch up with” list. I want to meet every one of the MedicCast EMS podcast listeners who are attending the expo in Atlanta.
Can’t make it down there this year? Follow along with our “nearly live” video updates straight from the EMS Expo exhibit hall here at EMSExpoLive.com
